It was starting to get dark about 8:00 pm, time to light the campfire. It took some coaxing to get it going because everything was so damp, due to the recent rainfall.

Ah there we go, nothing like a good campfire to sooth your soul. Watched it for 2 or 3 hours before turning in for the evening.

All through the night you could hear the fish jumping in the lake, feeding on the dragon flies that flew in at sunset. Sometime during the night some raccoons came in to camp to scavenge for food, tried to get my ice chest open. You could see the footprints all over the picnic table.

What a beautiful morning!

Heavy dew but not too chilly. Got up way before daybreak and made coffee with my Jetboil Propane stove, worked great! So peaceful watching the sun come up and the birds flying across the lake. Since it was Sunday morning I had my own worship service in God's largest Cathedral.........nature. I had to wait a couple of hours for the dew to burn off, ya can't pack a tent up wet.
So I decided to hike another direction along the park road around the lake before returning to pack up and go home.

Stay tuned for more "amazing" adventures of Hikerman, thanks for visiting and leave some comments if you like. Later Ya'll.
